The presentation starts with a discussion of the key performance indicators (KPI) healthcare dashboard. KPIs in the U.S. are compared with those of other countries. A possible roadmap is laid out for implementing an interoperable electronic medical record system. Differences between electronic medical records and health records are explained. Megatrends and a future healthcare system moving from disease treatment to preventive health management are discussed, including the pillars and anatomy of a smart hospital and telemedicine. Advanced technologies such as IoT, data analytics and AI are discussed. The emerging technologies, such as metaverse, are potentially applicable in smart hospitals and virtual healthcare. This session ends with case studies using advanced and frontier technologies.
